What is the difference between PG 70% / VG 30% and VG 50% / PG 50%

PG's main job in your e-liquid is to carry flavour. It is thinner than VG, and allows more potent and complex flavour to come through It also gives you a stronger "throat hit" which is what smokers who transition from cigarettes to vaping prefer. Liquids with more PG tend to give off less vapour, and require less heat and power to evaporate, which means longer life coils.

VG's main job is to give you a smoother, milder and richer vape, with bigger and fluffier clouds. It is a lot thicker than PG, takes more power to vapourize, which in turn is why you get so much more vapour than with PG liquids.

Generally most people like a 50% / 50% balance of VG and PG liquids, as they offer a good enough throat hit coupled with enough flavour coming through. However, there are those who prefer stronger PG liquids (PG70 / VG30) as they do offer a more familiar throat hit. It's best to try both and see what you prefer.
